Introduction iPhone 17 Pro Max
So guys, we have big leak news for the new iPhone 17 Pro Max. We have been told that these kind of renders that you are seeing right here is what the iPhone 17 Pro Max could look like. This leak right here from the information Wayne Mah has said that he has seen the designs for the new iPhone 17 Pro Max and has confirmed that the new camera shape on the back of the iPhone is going to be rectangular in 2025, very similar to the likes of an old Galaxy S kind of phone like the S10 had this and even the likes of the Pixel phones actually have this kind of bar over the back of the iPhone.
Change in Materials: Titanium vs. Aluminum
He also goes on to say that titanium is no longer going to be the main material used for the iPhone, especially since we just got given titanium recently for the iPhone 16 Pro Max and also the 15 Pro Max. He’s saying this is not going to be the case and that we’re going back to aluminum or aluminium (where I’m from). In fact, what’s actually going to happen is the rear of the phone will be a half-and-half design, with half aluminum and half glass, mainly due to MagSafe charging.
Potential for a New Design in 2025
This is super interesting to see that this new design, like you can see here in these renders, is what we’re essentially going to be getting in 2025.
Credibility of the Leak
Now the first thing I want to say about this leak is that it comes from the information, and I’m going to say this, the information has been right probably about 60 to 70% of the time. When they get information, they are normally right, but there are bits of information that are incorrect. So maybe they’re wrong about the aluminum idea, but the actual camera on the rear being rectangular, we’ve heard about this before, just like this leak earlier back in 2024.
Reaction to the Rectangular Camera Design
Some of you guys are going to say you absolutely hate it, you don’t like the design. But do remember when we got leaks of the iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max, when we saw the three cameras in a triangle, a lot of you guys hated it, saying it looked really stupid. As the years went by, with the iPhone 12, 13, 14, 15, and 16, it’s now become an iconic design. I think this rectangular design will likely become the same thing.
Concerns Over Camera and Vision Pro
The Vision Pro and also doing kind of sort of vision kind of like photography Imaging and all of that because at the end of the day Apple even said that you need to have the cameras kind of in a vertical kind of position and especially this is what we got with the iPhone 16 normal for example and the 16 plus the camera’s got changed from the diagonal to this to make this work well we’re going to have to wait and see what’s happening there maybe Apple might have found a way to sort of change the lenses around and sensors we just don’t know at the stage.

Moving on, the information also mentioned the iPhone 17 Air. According to the leak, the iPhone 17 Air will be between 5 mm to 6 mm thick. The last iPhone with a thinner design was the iPhone 6. We’re expecting a phone that’s slightly thinner, possibly similar to the iPad Pro M4. However, there are sacrifices, like only one rear camera and possibly just one speaker.
